De Hamer Signs & Custom Apparel opened in March of 2020 and our desire is to provide businesses, schools, churches, groups and individuals with the signs, apparel and promotional items that suits their needs in the areas of marketing, advertising, visual recognition and event identification.
The company is owned and operated by Doug De Hamer who was born and raised in the Des Moines area and has 30 years of experience in the sign, custom apparel and promotional items businesses. He has a commercial design degree from Grand View University and was one of two employees to open up the very first vinyl sign company in Des Moines in 1989. Since then he spent a few years in the production area before becoming a full time salesman for several of the larger sign companies and apparel companies in the area.
Doug has made many contacts in these areas and has formed a relationship with a group of companies that he is now working with to offer a wide variety of products and services. He will meet with his customers and listen to their needs to help come up with the best solutions that will fit into their budgets. He wants to earn and keep everyones devotion to his company!
